| Program
Description
The CIS - Computer Programming diploma program* is approximately
five quarters in length and focuses on basic and advanced concepts
of computer information processing. Students receive a combination
of classroom instruction and hands-on experience in a variety of
programming languages including COBOL, RPG, Java, and C++. The curriculum
also includes courses in database management and systems analysis
and design. This program is specifically designed for the individual
who wishes to pursue a career in the creation of new computer programs
rather than concentrating on the use of existing programs and systems.
Program graduates receive a diploma.
* Scheduled to begin Winter Quarter 2003
Program Requirements
Applicants must meet general admissions requirements, and must also:
- Present official documentation of an acceptable accredited high
school diploma, GED, or acceptable college credit.
- Present acceptable COMPASS/ASSET scores taken within the last
five years, or SAT, ACT or CPE scores taken within the last seven
years.
