Program Description
This technical certificate will provide the student with the terminology and acronyms associated with the home theater industry.  The student will learn the proper room structure for a theater system, how to choose the proper equipment and how to properly install the equipment in a room constructed in the classroom to simulate a room in a home.  The hands on approach will provide the student with experience routing cables, working with tools used to cut wall board, drilling holes for running cabling as well as mounting racks and other hardware.
