| Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOUS)
Program Description
Georgia’s DTAE Technical Institutes
are now approved as Microsoft Authorized Academic Training Program
Institutions. With this designation, VTC can offer Microsoft specific
training and certification as a Microsoft Professional. Microsoft
Certification is a highly desirable designation. Microsoft certified
professionals typically command the highest salaries in the computer
industry. This proposed technical certificate of credit would prepare
students to sit for the Microsoft Office User Specialist Certificate.
Persons completing the program of study and passing the Microsoft
examination may be certified in one of more of these six areas:
Microsoft Access Expert Specialist, Microsoft Excel Proficient or
Expert Specialist, Microsoft FrontPage Expert Specialist, Microsoft
Outlook Expert Specialist, Microsoft PowerPoint Expert Specialist,
and Microsoft Word Proficient Specialist with Expert Specialist.
A student may also choose to become a Microsoft Office Specialist.
This designation includes certification in Access, Excel, Outlook,
PowerPoint, and Word.

MOUS Option – PowerPoint – 37 Credit Hours
MOUS Option – Outlook – 37 Credit Hours
MOUS Option – FrontPage – 37 Credit Hours
MOUS Option – Office Suite Specialist – 49 Credit Hours
