Valdosta Technical College is a "drive-in"
college without dormitories, dining halls, and other related residential
facilities. However, the college is committed to the comfort and
well-being of students on campus and maintains the Student Center
for this purpose.
The Student Center
The Student Center is a commons area located around the vaulted
lobby between buildings 100 and 300. The Student Center is a gathering
area for students and contains the library, the snack bar, student
lounge, and bookstore.
Snack Bar
The Snack Bar is operated by the Georgia Cooperative Services and
is managed by an independent contractor with no financial or operational
connection with Valdosta Technical College. Hours of operation are
7:00 a.m-3:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.–9:00 p.m., Monday through
Thursday and 7:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Friday. The snack bar serves
a large variety of packaged and hot snacks and drinks and makes
every attempt to cater to the needs and wishes of the student population.
Crossroads
The Student Lounge, called "Crossroads", provides a
clean and comfortable area in which students may enjoy their meals
or just to relax, socialize, or study between classes. "Crossroads"
is open before and after the hours of operation of the snack bar
to provide a place for students to gather. Just outside the doors
of the student lounge is a patio area consisting of an open air
café and a covered patio.
Bookstore
The Bookstore, owned and operated by the college, provides textbooks,
workbooks, supplies, and materials for students. The store also
has a large selection of other items including shirts, caps, and
pens. The store is open from 7:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday through
Thursday, and from 7:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Friday.

The Library is a modern comfortable place in which students can
check out books, read numerous periodicals and newspapers, investigate
sources for research, log onto the internet, or to simply study
between classes.
The hours of operation of the library are from 7:45 a.m. until
9:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 7:45 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
on Friday. Students and staff have access to the library with a
valid and current VTC identification card.
Computer and Internet Access
Students who do not possess a computer at home have access to a
number of computers in the library and may establish an email address
and log onto the internet with individual codes and passwords. Computer
software available for student use includes Microsoft Office Suite,
GALILEO, and other software specific to program areas.
