Students must present a valid picture ID before any request for
change can be processed
- Pick up application form from Student Customer Services Center
(SCSC) in Room 117 or print form from link below.
If you are changing to a degree program, you will also need to
fill out the Evaluation for
Hope Scholarship form.

- Fill out your section concerning current program and new/additional
program choice, program list information (if applicable), session
and campus. Sign and date.
- Have form signed by an Academic Support Center Counselor in Room
109.
- Have form signed by your Financial Aid Counselor in Room 100.
- Return completed form to the SCSC in Room 117. Admissions will
make the final decision on approving your request. You will be notified
of the decision (denied or approved) and if additional information
or documentation will be needed.
*Note: The Academic Support Center and Financial Aid staff will
review your records to determine the impact of the change being
requested and will counsel you to ensure that any change decided
upon is in your best interest. If your current placement test scores
do not meet the minimum requirements for the new program you are
applying for, you will be required to retest in the subject areas
for which score requirements were not met (please
see section on retest). If you are testing in a subject area
for the first time, that will not be considered a retest. Students
applying for a degree program will be required to complete a Hope
Scholarship Evaluation Form. Additional transcripts may also be
required.
Procedures for
Obtaining a Parking Permit
Students are issued a parking permit during the registration and
orientation process. If you have lost your permit or have obtained
a new vehicle, you may apply for the new parking permit by completing
the following form and returning it to the Admissions Office.

Procedure
for Transfer of Credit
- Have final, official transcripts sent to Student Customer Service
from each college attended.
Notes:
- Course(s) must have been taken at an acceptable, regionally
accredited educational institution.
- Course(s) to be transferred must have been passed with
a ‘C’ or better.
- Course(s) must be comparable in description and competencies
to that offered at VTC.
- Transfer credit for up to 75% of a program of study may
be applied toward graduation.
- Grade appears as ‘TR’ and is not calculated
in the GPA, but is used to calculate eligibility for HOPE
Scholarship if applicable.
- Some courses have a five year time limits.
- Students and Advisors may look up the student’s history in
Banweb to see what has been transferred.
Procedures
for Requesting Transcript from Another School
As part of the admissions process to most of the programs at Valdosta
Tech, students are required to have transcripts from high schools
and other colleges sent to the Admissions Office to satisfy the
admissions requirements and to provide documentation of possible
transfer of credit.
It is the student’s responsibility to request that the transcript
be sent to the Admissions Office at Valdosta Tech. A form has been
provided for this purpose.

Procedure for Applying
for Graduation
Students should initiate the application for graduation within
the first two weeks of the last quarter of enrollment prior to graduation
- Fill out Section I and II of the Application for Graduation
- Have Instructor fill out Section III of the Application for Graduation
- Student should take the Application for Graduation to the Bookstore to pay the Mandatory $30 fee before returning it to the Student Service Center located in Room 117.
- All graduation applications should be turned in to the Student Service Center.
Student will receive a notice of eligibility to graduate after
grades are entered and forms are processed.
