Students from Valdosta Technical College’s Marketing Management Program attended the International Delta Epsilon Chi Career Development Conference in Atlanta, GA on April 11-16th. The conference included chapters of Delta Epsilon Chi (DEX) from all across the United States and some international students representing technical colleges, community colleges and universities.
Under the direction of Phyllis Lightsey, Marketing Management Program Coordinator, students competed in many events and represented the college well in competition. Marion Ramsey was named one of the top 10 in the world in Travel and Tourism, receiving medals for outstanding performance and an Award of Excellence. Lisa Lamoreaux was also awarded an Award of Excellence for her performance in Sales Representative.
In addition to the competition, Thomas O’Neal, Maggie Rodgers, Marion Ramsey and Lisa Lamoreaux were able to spend time learning from the pros, networking and participating in the Entrepreneurship Challenge to create a franchise.
