| Valdosta Technical College is "The
Job School" because we train students for entry-level employment,
advancement and lifelong learning, and then help students find suitable
employment. The Job Placement/Career Services office is committed
to assisting current and former students in finding meaningful work
by providing students with job leads, job search skills, seminars,
job fairs, and much more. The Career Services staff cannot guarantee
jobs for students but will gladly partner with students to help
them experience success in their job search.
Job seekers who have not enrolled in a credit program at Valdosta
Tech can obtain job search assistance from Georgia Department of
Labor, 221 S. Ashley St., Valdosta, GA 31601, www.dol.state.ga.us.
Job Openings
Students/Graduates
Job openings are posted on the Job Board on main campus and on
the web at http://www.valdostatech.edu/jobs/joblisting.html.
Job seekers are encouraged to check the Job Board daily for updates
and contact Career Services with specific job numbers for referrals
to jobs for which they are qualified.
Students/graduates will need to complete an application
for Career Services prior to receiving job referrals. The application
can be returned to the Career Services office on main campus in
Room 112 or 103, or faxed to 229-293-6261. The application will
be active for six months and may be renewed and/or updated at the
request of the student. Students/graduates are asked to advise the
Career Services staff when they have found employment as it is important
for Valdosta Tech to know that students/graduates are finding work
after attending “The Job School.”
For those interested in working at Valdosta Tech, job openings
are advertised in local newspapers and online at Jobs@VTC
when they become available.
