| Transients from
other schools (Valdosta Technical College as the Host School)
Applying for admission through GVTC does not automatically enroll
you in a course at Valdosta Technical College. There are several
steps for you to be successfully enrolled in a course at Valdosta
Technical College:
- After you apply for admission through GVTC,
Valdosta Technical College must receive a Transient Student Agreement
Form from your home school. Valdosta Technical College personnel
cannot proceed until this form is received.
- Upon receipt of your transient agreement, you will receive an
acceptance letter from Valdosta Technical College with registration
contact information, financial aid or tuition payment information,
bookstore contact information and the drop-add deadline.
- Please follow the instructions on the acceptance letter and
contact the Technology Coordinator, Sally Dorminey at
sdorminey@valdostatech.edu
to register. You will receive confirmation once you are registered.
- You can then contact the VTC Bookstore to make arrangements to
order your book(s) and/or pay your tuition and fees. Pam O’Neal,

- You must log-on to blackboard and make contact with your instructor
to let him/her know that you have joined the class.
Valdosta Tech Transient Students (Valdosta
Technical College as the Home School)
Applying for admission through GVTC does not automatically enroll
you in a course at another GVTC School. There are several steps
for you to be successfully enrolled in an online course at another
GVTC Technical School as a current student of Valdosta Technical
College:
- Apply for admissions at the host school through GVTC.
You will be required to meet any requirements of that host school,
including admissions fees.
- Once our Admissions Coordinator receives the application from
GVTC and the Application for Transient Status at a Host School,
a Transient Agreement will be produced and forwarded to Financial
Aid for approval.
- The completed Transient Form will be e-mailed to the host school
and you will receive information from that school concerning acceptance,
registration and class information. Depending on your financial
aid status, you may be responsible for tuition and fees at the host
school.
- You may purchase books from Valdosta Tech or the host school.
You will not, however, be allowed to charge books at Valdosta Tech
against your financial aid. Any awards you receive will be reimbursed
to you later in the quarter upon verification of course enrollment
from the host school.
